Hi there, yes you can give the top coat a light rub with very fine paper (circa 2000 grit), again its more to ensure the paint finish is level and to key the surface for lacquering. Don't go overboard with the rubbing down at this stage though. Shame about the spoiler you bought not being the right colour - that would've saved a fair bit of work. I'm away for a couple of days, in case you have any more questions - I'll get back to you as soon as I return. I'm sure the spoiler will look just fine if you take your time on it. Paul
