Re: Emergency key is BLANK

Just got my first Renault and loving it. However, it came with one keycard. More importantly, the emergency key is BLANK! and doesn't open the passenger door.

Went to a locksmith but they couldn't find the key on the system. Went to Renault who said it needed to be cut in France and I needed to order a whole new keycard with it for 193....!!!

Does this sound right? Also, is that 'Key code' sticker in the service book (number format ABC12345) the code for the emergency key? The locksmith tried that code (key was on their system but not the number). The only other numbers I have are an 'ignition key number' in the service booklet (format 12345678).
