Hi there and welcome.
TBH these occurences are frustrating, but in all honesty, there could have been many reasons why they didn't call; eg sickness may have meant that the service manager may have been working on customer's cars himself. Not an excuse, you understand, but a valid reason nonetheless.
I'd give the dealership another chance, as the old saying goes, "to err is human, to forgive, divine".
