1100 sounds a lot for the warranty! You will also have lost a few thousand in depreciation. Changing may cost a lot more, only to leave you in the same situation in 12months time.
An independant warranty, would be cheaper, although possibly not as comprehensive.
AA/RAC type breakdown cover I would say is a must for your mileage.

I would probably keep the car, take out an independant 12month warranty and keep the car, trading it in just before 100k or warranty expires.
That way you will have had a few more miles out of your car, it will be 12months older and if you trade before MOT time you won't have to worry about that expense as well. Also it wont have cost you as much, only the warranty cost, not the purchase cost.

Do you/have you considered leasing the car? That way you could incorporate a maintenance agreement in as well and change every 2 yrs knowing your exact costs? Knowing all repairs will be covered.
