Why go to the main dealers?.The keys can be repaired for around £40,there are also mobile key providers that can cut and programme new keys to the car and as they will be be with the car you are guaranteed to be able to check if the key works or not before you pay them!.Renault will charge around £200 for a key and programme,I think there is a lead time of a couple of weeks on them too,although the situation might be better now.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
