Wierd electrical fault - '99 Laguna 2.0

This is a fault, but not a problem. Baffles me how it can happen though.

While coming home from work today I had a 12v battery booster pack recharging via the cigar lighter. I stopped at a shop, switched off the ignition and removed the key. The CD player continued playing, and the Clock/Temperature display stayed illuminated. Everything went off as normal when I unplugged the battery pack.

When I got home, it happened again so I switched the CD Player off on the control panel. All was well.

When I tried to lock the car using the Key Fob, it wouldn't work until I unplugged the Battery Pack again.

Have I got a faulty control module somewhere, or is it meant to happen ? Luckily, the key fob won't work with the battery pack plugged in, so the immobiliser can't be disarmed simply by apply 12v to the cigar lighter.

Wierd or what ?
