It was only panel damage I had to do on the Escort. I had to pull the old rear wheel arch off the wheel before removing the damaged panels and replacing them. As you say I think yours will need a bit more accuracy.

I had a 1993 Citroen BX I bought back 1998 as an accident damage repairable it had also suffered some chassis damage which I couldn't do so had it straightened by the salvage company I bought from before I collected it IIRC cost around 200 back then. I then did all the panel work

You need to find some one with something like Car-O-Liner jig for more accurate alignment I don't know how close these are to you?
