The problem here is that it is very difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem. Sometimes it's the master, sometimes the slave, or even both. Replacing the slave involves removing the (very heavy) gearbox. Depending on the mileage you might then think about changing the clutch while the box is out, then if it's a diesel you should change the dual-mass flywheel! Hence £££££. I've come accross this symptom on several Trafics (same gearbox essentially) and it's usually the slave.
Cheapest quote is.nt neccessarily best in the long run.
