Thanks for the offer Mike, but it's not really a problem.
I was only charging the pack after using it to start my Grand Voyager after it had been laid up for 4 months.
These packs are designed to be plugged in to cigar lighters to revitalise a car battery when it is down on power but not completely dead, so I guess putting a diode in the circuit would prevent it from being used that way.
Thinking about it, the key fob probably wouldn't work because the car would assume the ignition was already on, due to sensing 12v.
Then again, if there was a short in the cars circuit somewhere which fed battery voltage to the ignition you would be well stuffed when trying to turn the immobiliser off !
