Question Bicycle Carriers

Hello Anyone and Everyone.
I have just registered to see if my wife and I can get advice and information to help us decide on the best way to carry our bicycles using our Renault Grand Scenic car with a panoramic roof. We have carried them inside the car already with the inconvenience of removing two back seats and the bikes' front wheels and then securing with straps to fixed points.
Looking at towing bracket carriers causes us concern over:
-fitting my bike which has a sloping crossbar;
-fitting my wife's bike which does not have a crossbar;(Both bikes have 16 inch frames.)
-jostling of the bikes when travelling causing damage;
-a large tow-ball weight causing damage to the car if we use the carrier while towing our caravan.
Looking at roof carriers causes us concern over;
-safety as our car has a panoramic roof(I have noticed that some roof carrier makers do not make one for cars with panoramic rooves);
-securing our bikes as their frames are very thick and not circular in cross-section.
Thankyou for reading all this and special thanks for a reply.
