I'm a new owner of a Renaultsport Megane 225, my first Renault. Spoke to the main local dealer today who quoted me £290 for a major service, which didn't
include brake fluid change, coolant change, and just a visual inspection of the clutch. These are 3 main points I was hoping be done in the service, hence me enquiring!
Is this normal for the main renault dealer or just this particular branch trying to con me?
I've contacted Nationwide Autocentre, and with my AA discount I got quoted £200, and includes the brake/coolant change and also "check clutch operation for drag/slip/judder/noise and adjust". None of that was included in the Renault package.
As I've never owned a Renault I'm trying to find out if I'm being conned by them, as Nationwide Autocentre isn't a backstreet garage trying to get some quick cash by scamming people.
How do those prices compare to others?
