As long as the indicator is there & all lights are functioning, with no sharp edges on the vehicle - I can't see a problem with that.

However, in my experience, vehicles which are 'older' or show signs of 'damage/neglect' tend to get scruitinised that bit harder - on the besis that 'something' must be wrong with it.

MOT testers are human, and therefore it can be difficult to remain 100% objective.

Try to source the trims if you can.
