I've seen a classic 'bodge' done by a few garages...

The one which springs to mind is the dent on the tailgate/bootlid (which are easy enough to cause on mpvs & the like).

Rather than get someone like me to fix them, they will just get a 'GB' sticker and apply loosely (trapping an airbubble inside), this then doesn't look out of place, and smooths out the rear end.

Of course when the new owner removes it..."oh we wouldn't sell a car like that...".
