Re: welding wheels.
I used to use a wheel specialist a few years back to repair scuffs dents scratches by welding them up then buffing them back followed by finishing them off by painting them or having them powder coated,he also used to check them beforehand to see how badly warped they were and tell you there and then if its repairable and worthwhile?,
He was never keen on doing anything beyond this like replacing missing pieces
, no matter how good the repair...its just that... a repair!,i sure wouldn't like to drive down the road at 70+mph for the repair to give way
Edit: When i bought my Cento my Alloys were very badly scuffed dented in places, what i did was grind and sand them all back to a flat surface the best i could, then just had them powder coated,you wouldn't even know they have since been worked at, what i did when i had them stripped back is give them a good visual inspection to see if there are any fractures or cracks on the alloy surface itself that you wouldn't normally see with the old paint still applied,
