Mobil S is a semi synthetic recommended for turbo petrol and diesel cars. Given that it has just been put in (and no doubt cost you dear) I would leave it there for your normal service period then invest in a top quality oil at the next change. Yes do try and clean the EGR valve yourself, do a search on the hows and whys.

Your money may well be better spent on these products in your circumstances:-
