Hello Tutchi,welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately,it could be any of these,although I suspect it could be the thermostat playing up.

What I'd be tempted to do is replace that first,and go from there.

What happens to the gauge if you start the car from cold and leave it idling for ten minutes?.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
