A wee correction: The hydraulic coupling does not contain any brake as stated in my previous post. Coupling is purely hydraulic. I see on the trekka-club site that the coupling is stated to contain "mini brake shoes." That is not what these are. These are weights that open valves when they spin at a certain speed.
Perhaps reason for the clicking noise is your coupling has lost its hydraulic fluid.
