Can the hydraulic fluid be topped-up? Mine clicks too.
I presume the 4x4 still works - based upon driving without issues on frozen rain last winter when a Range Rover ended-up in a ditch (likely due to d!ckhead driver).
I see from the link in one of the previous posts that the hydraulic coupling contains lots of seals. It is therefore not inconceivable that some of these may leak. The coupling can be easily removed but whether is easy to open it out is another story and un-chartered territory.
