I take the computer readings only as an approximate guide. Although when comparing the readings I get and calculating the old fashioned way as per your previous post the mpg is usually within +/- 1mpg of the computer. Sometimes high sometimes low.
Also, as the computer calculate ave mpg, the more miles you do between a reset the more accurate it becomes. Reseting after 100 miles will not be as accurate as letting it run for a whole tankful of over 550 miles.
