This thread has reminded me of something I meant to do..!
When I buy a new car (not that often) first thing I do is remove the "Buy your car at Jingo's" /"Jingo's for Renault's in the outer hebredies" or whatever stickers and number plate surrounds.
I look at it as I pay for the car,you dont pay me for free advertising.
When I got this one (Meg III) first thing I did pefore leaving the garage was to peel off the rear windscreen stickers,there were 3 of them.
Unfortunately one of them was over part of the demist element.
The car had been on the storage lot for awhile and they must slap on these stickers as soon as they get a container delivery.
Removing the sticker peeled off a section of the element protective covering
Thats something you may have to do yourself if using repair paint or foil to get good contact.
Ill have to go checking for "rear demister element protective coat paint" or whatever its called .
