As long as the car is healthy,then basically you have to drive it,wait for the engine to come up to temperature,then thrash the whatsits of it.
I fail at least 60% of all
diesels on emissions as they aren't 'cleaned out' in this way regularly enough.If you do it just before your re-test,then I think you should be OK.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
