Exclamation Desperate help needed with my Plip - pretty please!

Is there anyone who can help this damsel in distress??!

I own a 97 Megane Scenic, and today the plip decided to die on me.
The red light keeps flashing on the plip intermittently, but it is not opening the doors, nor turning off the immobiliser.

When I bought the car 6 months ago, it only came with the one key, so I don't have a spare.

I tried removing the fuse for the immobiliser in the hope that would alllow me to drive the car, but it didnt work.

I now have no idea what to do. I've only moved to Kent a couple of weeks ago, so have no idea what garages/dealers there are about, Im 7 months pregnant, so don't fancy a long trek to find a garage, snd I'm not exactly flush with cash at the mo, so don't want to be ripped off if I go to a garage for help.

Is thereanyone out there who can advise me on something I could try to get my car to budge

Any advice would be GRATEFULLY received!
