Question Special Renault Glycol?

I have recently topped up the water/ glycol mix on my Laguna after discovering the levels were dangerously low (See earlier thread). I have just been informed however, that Renault have a special glycol that should be used! Apparently other glycols can have a corrosive effect!

Can anybody confirm that Renault has a special glycol and that it must be used. Also if this is the case can you let me know the full name so I can buy some.

In winter up here it can go as low as -40c and we are guaranteed -20c to -30c over Christmas levelling out to about -10 from Jan to March. You can therefore imagine that the right glycol is of utmost importance as is flushing out the system and replacing the wrong one before winter sets in.

Your help and advice is appreciated as always.
