Re: windscreen washers, won't work, on my Clio
Another thought is to increase the flow.
If you take the jet off the end of the hose, then the pump will not be restricted by that, and so the blockage in the pipe will be taking the full force of the pump.
It also means that any clag pushed down the line will be easily ejected.
So you can push the content of the bottle of warm water through the tube quicker!
Any thoughts about addatives? Not seriously recommending Mr Muscle (Sink and drain unblocker) but detergent (washing up liquid) or even a diluted (?) version of the surface cleaner should not affect the tube, can be cleaned off the car, and will cut any grease or oily blockage. Don't know of anything that would break up leaf stems, etc, though the aforementioned Sink and drain unblocker will break up hair...
And for those that have resolved this problem, have they found out what caused it?
Filling the screenwash bottle at a service station (from the watering can) often had risk of leaves and other crud; it would not be a surprise to know that oily residue got in; what else are we dealing with?
