Yeah it could be knackered, but it could be something to do with the DTT2000 software, I may reinstall it and have another try, but as you said it's a bit hit and miss at the best of times.

Can you tell me where in DTT2000 can you test the ABS pump and operate the 4 valves?

I think the problem I'm having must be something to do with the pump / motor or something along that line.

I'm guessing that the 5A abs fuse in the drivers side fuse box is the power to the ABS ECU , maybe as long as this has power to it, it is able to monitor the wheel speed sensors so maybe that's why I have no warning light.
Is there another fuse / relay somewhere that feeds the power to the ABS pump motor and the solenoids as these components must pull more than 5A when in use?
