Sorry, I don't know the location of the switch or I would have mentioned it.

If you can't find the switch up around the pedal area maybe it uses a different switch elsewhere. Maybe there is a pressure switch for the brake lights located around the Master Cylinder.

You could give a Renault parts department a ring and see if they can point you in the right direction.
