All sorted. Renault charge how much for this simple swapover. Disgraceful!

I followed mike instructions and fitted in 45 minutes including 30 minute wait to discharge airbag system.

100s saved.

Shame on Renault.

Also, big kudos to Bridgenorth Renault (breakers) for supplying a top part, even cleaned it up.

Thanks chaps, highly recommended by me!

My airbag and service light have been on since the last MOT and only went out on that by a chance wiggle of the wires under the seat. I have dismantled my car seats over the last two weekends (I only swore several times each day) to find the dreaded loose wire under the seats, and then finally turned my attention to the steering wheel to find the nicely crumpled up ribbon wire under my steering wheel. Found your post in minutes after that.

I am yet to fit my new set of switches (waiting for hebay delivery) but your thread not only answered a lot of questions but was really well written.

Just thanks for taking the time. This will help a lot more people I am sure.
