My little Clio has manifested a whole new problem over the last 2 weeks.
I've scoured the forum and found only 1 problem exactly the same - but unfortunately with no replies
2003 Clio 80 1.5 DCI
Cambelt new 1 yr ago
64,000 on the clock
sensor cleaned (August)
Valve cleaned (weekend just gone)
Morning cold start is rough
- all lights on as they should be and off when they should do.
Engine fires up first time but idles at 500rpm or slightly above.
Holding down the throttle doesn't work
no change in revs.
After 20 seconds or so idle kicks in properly and all is well.
Noticed this morning that the rough idle phase lasted longer than last week.
Hubby cleaned the
vlave because at idle
in traffic the engine was 'bumbly' - worked a treat,
engine smooth and feels more responsive -
but it hasn't cured the rough cold start.
Any pointers from our learned experts would be gratefully accepted.
Thanks in advance
