You have two separate problems as far as I can see.

As mord said....It sounds like you have pulled the wires out of the electronic rear axle load sensor that controls the angle of the xenon headlights.
I don't think this would cause the ABS light to come on unless the system shares the same fuse (unlikely) but I would check the fuses anyway.

Have you checked to make sure the rear ABS sensor wires are still plugged in to their connectors fully, they are connected somewhere behind the wing liners I believe.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think there is any kind of mechanical variable brake/load adjuster on the Lag 2, I'm sure I read that manufactures stopped fitting brake compensator's once ABS came along?
