Thanks for your help TTT, I've got the front bumper off with help of the .pdf guide you mentioned. I did have a problem with the o/s bumper bolt that also holds the wing on that snapped off. I have drilled it out and destroted the threads, I will try and re-tap the hole or even use a helicoil, alternatively I may see if I can use a plastic trim clip, (but I guess it may not be strong enough) The reason the bolt was rusted solid and subsequently snapped off was due to the under wing liner having been split in a previous operation. This is a warning to anyone who has this problem... (see picture)

Then I broke off the retaining tabs on one of the fog light connectors... Why oh why is every connector a different design????!!!!
The lever that holds the blue ABS plug on was not moving so I gently rocked it back and forth with a spray of WD40 which worked, connector contacts looked clean.
Next step is to get a replacement pump. Watch this space
