Push fit pins....What will they think of next
So when I thought I could see a little solder on the pins where they contact the edge of the hole in the PCB I was obviously wrong, it must just be the interference fit of the pin.
You can't see it in the photo but there is like a ridge on the 2 sides of the pin where the pin contacts the hole. As the pin is inserted it must push some of the solder that lines the hole up with it , this is what I was thinking was the small amount of solder.
I don't suppose soldering each pin to the PCB would hurt, but I'm not now confident that the problem is down to the pins making a poor connection.
