I have seen brakes with no bleed screw before. If both sides are connected together that means that at least one caliper or drum must have 2 connections on it.

One for the feed and one to connect to the other side.If they both have 2 connections what is plugging the unused one up?

If the connections are at the top you should be able to bleed them using the pipe connection without any trouble.
Currently in planmeca's garage:
Renault Laguna 1.8 16v x 2 and a lot of other things. could really do with a tidy up to be honest I'll do it tomorrow
