Thanks for the reply Alex3. I did not mention it in my post, but while changing the Suspension bushes, I had to uncoupled the cable from the lever to allow me to pull the subframe out to change the bushes. So at the moment I have the cable uncoupled with only about 5-6mm of inner cable showing, this is not enough for me to re-couple the cable to the lever. This is my problem. Tomorrow I will try to free the shaft with your suggestion, hope it works or I will probably need a new caliper.
By the way, what will happen if the engine is started with the cable uncoupled from the lever?
