Re: Languna I 1.8 16V Sport With ABS
I have a few brake pipes to change anyone done this on a Laguna with ABS Haynes manual says you need to take it to the dealers with Diagnostic Equipment
Hello and welcome to the forum.
There's absolutely no reason why you will need to use diagnostic equipment or upset the ABS at all.Just make sure the ignition is off and it should be fine.
One thing to help you is to undo a bleed nipple in the system and then push the brake pedal to the floor slowly and hold it down using a piece of wood wedged up into to the front of the drivers seat. You can then remove the pipes without any fluid coming out of the reservoir.Once the pipe is replaced, remove the wood and bleed/top up the system as required.
Ideally you'll need a piece of clear tubing that's a tight fit over the nipple and a clear bottle to catch the fluid in,this stops fluid spilling everywhere when you undo the nipples, and if the end of the pipe in the bottle is immersed in fluid then you can bleed the brakes without the help of an assistant.
