Re: Clio rough start from cold

Basicly what i read on another forum, was that the rough idle can be because of the seal around the fuel sender unit beginning to fail. It sits on to of the of fuel tank, located under the rear seat, and this apparently lets air into the fuel system which then can lead to a poor a lumpy idle.

It is a very strange part to go, as in it`s not something you think would be common to have in stock, but my local dealer had them in stock read to go 35.

They said it was a common problem.

As yet haven`t been able to replace mine as i haven`t had a lot of time, and they are in a very tight area to work in. Though it was going to be an easy fix but spent an hour hammering at the old one try to get it to loosen but to no avail.

It`s plastic so am sure you can eventually just break it off, but I wanted to leave it till another day when I could do the job <ahem> properly.
