Re: Laguna II - ABS not working but no warning lights ?

I get it now, it doesn't take a lot to confuse me these days

Yeah I would love to know if soldering the pins in the ECU would cure the problem.

I soldered all of the pins in my ECU including the pins from the solenoids, I had to pick the silicone off around the solenoid pins so I could solder them. You'll need a good quality flux as the solder wasn't to keen to flow on some of the pins but I got them all done eventually.

I would love to try the old pump with the soldered ECU back on but as the ABS pump isn't the most accessible item and as I removed the whole pump I would really have to try the full old pump back on to see if the problem had been fixed, that involves all the brake fluid mess & bleeding the system again

To be honest I'm lacking in enthusiasm at the moment especially as it's so cold & damp outside, if the pump was more accessible or if I had a nice warm dry garage to mess on in I would probably change it as I would love to satisfy my curiosity.
