Advice for new owner.

Right here is the basics of the story. I purchased my first car and picked it up on Thursday just gone. A 1.4 2003 Megane Authentique. Seemed in good shape and well looked after, test drove seemed fine. Came with 3 month guarantee and has just had an mot.

3 and a half hour after picking it up I was doing 65mph in it and my accelerator "popped" and hit the deck. It stayed there... Looking up and under the dash I see it's a ball joint popped out. The bloke picked it up for me next morning (today) and took it to be fixed. Next he is saying I somehow broke a sensor and he might not have it fixed until Monday.

Do I ask for my money back? If he has just popped the ball joint back in surely it will come out again just as easily?

Any advice is appreciated.
