Plus; emissions testing for petrol's and only visible smog testing for diesels?! What's that all about.

And bikes for noise nothing else, in short they test for what the public see as the problem with that type of vehicle, no scientific reason behind it, get back to brakes lights and steering and sensible test fees, as for the 2 year test any modern vehicle should be able to go that long before becoming dangerous, maybe the test should be mileage based but that would lead to some strangely low mileometer readings I would think.
They are also talking of abolishing the test for vehicles built before 1960 I think but like the two year test I suspect there will be a sting in any changes that looks good to the owners tail.

Who would design a vehicle that falls over when you stop?
