Re: Windscreen wipers very noisy, Megane Cab 2006

clean your windscreen thoroughly with vinegar and crumpled up newspaper, discarding and changing the paper frequently. Also do the same to your wiper rubbers. Do NOT use wet & dry, that may well leave grit particles on the rubbers which can scratch the screen.
You can clean them with either vinegar or baking soda. When using baking soda in order to clean your car's windscreen wiper blades, sprinkle it on a dry or damp paper towel - and the rest is pretty much simple.

Still squeaking? Then look at the wiper arms themselves, are they parallel with the glass? They often become slightly twisted, especially if you use an automatic car wash, and require a little realigning with pliers or similar. Next, have you replaced the wipers complete or just the rubbers? The latter often leads to problems as the metal backing to the rubbers becomes worn and slack and allows the blades to move around while in action. Thirdly, it is a good idea to lift the wipers away from the screen and gently and very carefully lubricate the springs and pivots on the arms themselves. A drop of oil is best, spray drifts and if it gets on your windscreen you're back to square one. Fourth, use a high concentration of washer fluid in your screenwash. We use twice the recommended dose and it is much more effective at removing smeary deposits.

Lastly, never use wax or any form of polish on the windscreen, that is guaranteed to cause problems when using the wipers. The glass (and wipers) must be absolutely free of all wax, polish, oil , diesel deposits and so on.
Hope this helps
