All sorted, after searching breakers, managed to locate a fuel pressure sensor. Connected it up before fitting, switched on ignition and engine light stopped the rapid flashing. Re-connected to old sensor and fault returned, so that confirmed 100% that the sensor was faulty. Fitted it, and runs a treat. One happy friend. Thanks for input. Hope all the information here may be of some help to others in the future.
