I'm very, very surprised that your dealer have not offered at this stage to buy the car back off you for whatever you paid. That have a potential PR
disaster on their hands - you may not be able to name and shame here, but if you've already tried the dealer and Renault UK, it's certainly worth getting in touch with VOSA, your local trading standards and local newspapers.

It sounds like your car may not have fulfilled any of these conditions to start with to me! It's a great shame we don't have anything quite like the Lemon Law they have in the US over here... Then again, our legal system is ridiculous in many ways, like the one that prevents us from naming people who screw us over for fear of being sued ourselves (although I should point out that the best defence against any claim of defamation is telling the truth) yet allows us to praise those we've had a good experience from (which may, in fact have been posted by a dealer posing as a forum member!)
