If the system doesn't register a fault (i.e completely disabled) then thats fine,the way I read it is that if the SERV light is on and it's indicating a TPMS fault then thats a fail.It also looks like all the Clio 2's with electronic power steering on them with the light on the dash that stays illuminated will also fail.
I think I'll 'sticky' this thread as this has many new areas on it and if it all comes into force then we could have a lot of questions on it.
I've just returned from a friends garage and he took just 5 mins to disable my TPMS using a Bosch diagnostic system! He also said that the car would now pass the new stricter MOT from the 1st of April, because no warning would show up on the dashboard OR the diagnostic system. FYI Renault were going to charge me £49 to do this, it cost me a bottle of wine!
