Much of the complexity really depends on whether the doors are held by hinge pins or hinges which bolt to the door & pillar.
Hinge pin types are quite difficult to undo, and VERY difficult to get back on, as its a 2 or 3 person job to line it up, hold it in place & fit the pins.
The bolt on type is much easier, and could (depending on the door's weight) be done single-handed. It is normally the case of undoing the check strap to allow the door to open wider, which in turn, gives greater access to the bolts.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
