Thanks for getting back to me ! I am eager to have another go at the removing the cables from calipers. I do know that both calipers and handbrake levers are moving freely though. I removed them both a few weeks ago when I got the car as both appeared to be siezed and the parking brake was permanently off. I freed them up and the brake has been working ever since. Im having no joy sourcing a used replacement and cannot contemplate forking out for new one. Has anyone ever tried to have the motor itself rewound/repaired ? Its just a thought as I havent seen one yet.
