Re: windscreen washer jets & wiper sync.
It is not recommended to use dishwashing liquid in windscreen washer reservoirs as it can damage the rubber seals in the pump, etc. Plus it can form a gunge inside which blocks the port opening which can lead to pump failure.
If the windscreen becomes waxed or oily most times a wipe with a solutuion of biological washing powder disiolved in hot water and then a cold water flush will remove the film. Don't forget to give the wiper blades a rub whilst your are at it.
Stick to a good screenwash additive - I have found Lidl's own brand to be excellent but add in 50% solution.
Also flushing the washer system with diluted baby bottle sterilising solution once a year will also help. Boots the chemist can supply about 50 sterilising tablets for around 99 pence - enough to last a life time.
