Many thanks Gonescenile for the info and pics for this job - I did it last weekend without any hassle - even thought I would have to fork out a few quid for a tool to turn the piston back, but my local autosave had the exact one for £16.00 - result
all in all a very easy job - took about a hour to do.
I noticed that on one caliper, the piston went back in no problem and the rubber dust cover/seal also retracted back cleanly - on the other brake caliper it appeared more twisted, once it was retracted? is this normal? or does it mean that it is maybe sticking and likely to tear in the future?
also, I normally coppagrease (on me landy's) the bolts that hold the caliper into the carrier - but I noticed that the ones that came with the new pads, had the blue loctite stuff on them so I didn't grease them - is not greasing them the done thing?
