MOT failure brake pedal

need some help here urgently

basically a fail point on my mot was the brake pedal was unsafe. basically the bar that joins the break pedal to what i believe is called the brake vacuum servo has snapped at some point and previous owner has done a diy homemade job to replace it but what i wanna know is an this bar be bought seperately as every scrap yard has told me its the master cylinder which needs replaced and the bar cant be had on its own.

can anyone shed any light on this
