Re: renault megane 1.5dci
I am still having trouble picturing this damage.
specifically the "small hole". What is small?
If as you say its not a hole in any plastic part whether painted or unpainted...
This seems reasonable . as to make a small hole in plastic you would have to drill it ,it would be much more likely to part sompany with its mounting points or be badly deformed.
So a hole in metal bodywork, a puncture of a metal body panel?
How could that happen when reversing.
1. the Motorbike impact point would need to be very small to apply massive force to a very small area of metal.
Even then unless it was like a "spike" with a pointed tip the metal surrounding the "small hole" should have been dented inwards so the panel should be bent inwards leading to this small hole?
If the metal is corroded enough under the paint surface it could be that jabbing a finger hard enough or more usually a phillips screwdriver with a pointed tip, at a particular point will cause a hole while still leaving the surrounding area unchanged in shape. and appearance.
Something like this is most commonly found in car sills, the box sections running along the sides of cars..
It does happen at the rear too.
If its like 2. above the bodywork surrounding the "hole"must also be in a sad state, below the surface at least, even if paint isnt bubbling.
The repair method would be something like mr repair guy cutting out all the rotten body section back to clean metal with an angle grinder or similar and welding in a new section.
Holes in bodywork might be actually done by the repair guy(he or she, for pc) with drilling to pull out a dent if its a double steel skin , but thats assuming the steel is in good condition.
Personally without more information or a pic, I cant guess on anything else.
