Re: Electric handbrake grand scenic 1.6 2005
I don't know for sure either about the programming so I ended up buying new because the cheapest I could find a used one was 220 ! Plus 2 hrs fitting and taking it to the main dealer for programming amounted to 355 , didn't want to spend so much on a 2nd hand part so got the main dealer to do it for 535 , which was 50 quid off the original price they quoted , so well chuffed with that. Mine started off in January as a flat battery on a cold morning , parking brake light came on when.new battery fitted then garage diagnosed seized caliper , so replaced that then there was a loud squeal when brake disengaging so diagnosed as faulty Epb.
I contacted loads of places for used Epb , I also looked at a place called bb reman who actually repair them. They have a normal scenic one in to purchase with a lifetime guarantee. Be warned there is a difference to the grand and the normal scenic Epb.
