Re: Renault Megane - Engines - Juddering megane

Pictures regarding the coils - non generic. Renault brand coils match this profile we show here.
105AA On lifting the bonnet -
>silver cover over engine > lift to remove.
106AA Cover off -
presenting four sets of wires, plugged into
the pencil coil that is on top of each plug.
107AA One wire set unplugged.
108AA Close up the silver hex bolt in the
bottom secures the coil to the engine casting
110AA A pencil (cigar) coil the rubber section on the
bottom surrounds the terminal contact
to the plug
111AA Ditto but different aspect, note the brass
cylinder through which the securing bolt
is placed to the engine block.
The twin low voltage thin wires are encased and connected via the top plug, one for each cylinder. Best to line up the mounting bolt cylinder carefully over the screw hole in the cylinder block, rather than just do it approximately - hoping that tightening up the bolt will pull the coil into alignment. Do not over tighten.
